Today I would like to start with a very special series for me, which will follow in three parts. I would like to take you high in the north, above the Arctic Circle, to Norway.
It was a very special trip, because it was also our honeymoon 😉🍾
First, we went to Berchtesgaden (Bavaria) for 5 days and finally got married on the mountain Jenner, with a fantastic view over the Alps. It was a wonderful and exciting week, where the camera took a week off....
Directly from Munich we finally started the 15 day trip to Norway. First to Senja, one of the largest Norwegian island in the very north of the country. After another 5 days we went on to Lofoten, where we spent the rest of the trip. An eventful journey awaited us 😀.
Actually, I assumed that we were clearly too late for the Norwegian autumn colors, which start quite early up there - but as you will see, we still encountered great colours and especially colour contrasts.
We were especially happy about this: it was empty and windless. We had not one stormy day and many very windless days, which is rather rare over 15 days, especially with the autumn temperatures in the Fjords. It was also quite empty there, even when visiting the so-called hotspots. On our two visits to Skagsanden Beach as well as Uttakleiv there was not one (!) other photographer. So I could - unlike last time in winter - also implement many perspectives that were not possible at that time.
I have divided the pictures as follows:
1. at the beginning we move away a few kilometers from the direct sea coast and it goes into the fjords, which we could explore this year for the first time.
2. in the second part called "Art of Norway" I go a little crazy photographically, with lots of abstract details - this is not for fans of documentary photography 😅
3. in the third and last part with the name "Sea Worlds" it finally goes to the coast - as you know, this is my favorite habitat on trips 😉
It is not a matter of course that I can experience such great experiences together with my wife, for that I am very grateful. Just this trip was wonderful again, we have laughed extremely much with each other and about the weather capers singing or dancing over us 😃
